For me, yes. Right now, I am living my mom and sister. Our dad left us 10 years ago and never showed up again. I took the responsibility as the man of the house and our home a bit too big for just the 3 of us. When I get married, most probably we'll stay here. I still want to help out with my mom and sister.

Thank you. That's the least I could do. We stuck together during rough times. Can't bear it if I go away. It's also good I'll be bring a new member to the family. or members.

My husband and I share the same wish. To live near our extended families in just one village. Much better if we could live within one compound. My sister is only a few blocks away from our house and is also in the same village were we live. But my husband's parents and siblings live in another city. We are a close knit family and we enjoy bonding together. We cant get enough of each other, the same with my husband's. We fight but just petty and could be resolved as soon as possible. My in-laws are so fond of me and they are really good people even my sister-in laws. I'm so lucky to have them.

I think it's a good thing to remain close to your family when it comes to the amount of time you spend together, but not as in living close. I live over an hour from my parents & stuff but only because i needed to be somewhere that i could be independent & be able to do things myself & make my own decisions without my parents always wanting to make them for me. My Mum always complains about how far away we are from them but she also doesn't realise that the closer we move to them, the more the houses are - i honestly couldn't afford to live where they do, my Mum just doesn't seem to understand that part. They're only about half an hour from the city & being in that area is costly these days. My home is in the country in a small town, about 1 1/2 hours from the city or so - it's lovely here & we've all settled in nicely with the people who live around us & i don't think i would want to move anyway. I guess time will tell but u do prefer to live a while from my family just so i can have some peace, some independence, some privacy & be able to take care of my own family the way i want to without daily pop ins - that would be too much i think!

i wanted to live near my family because i want to oversee my parents if what happen to them everyday specially my mom because she is very sickly but the situations didn't allow us to be near. I live far from them, maybe i will get married here and we live here because my business are here and all of my earnings are taken from here. I am still monitoring my parents everyday through phone calls or texts.

Yes, I am very close to my family and I prefer to live in the same village so that I could see and visit them more often. If there is one thing I really do enjoy, it is the moments I am with them ...having sweet fellowship while eating and chatting. Aside from this, in times of need, you have your family who could easily help you and vice versa.

We live in a large home. My immediate family (myself, husband and our children) along with my parents (Ha...yes, by choice!) and we gained my sister when she went through her divorce, and her children half time. We had to buy a bigger house, but it is so joyful (most of the time!) to have my children have their grandparents here with us to spend time together.

I will choose to live near my family. Because I wanted to always be with them. If I only live near them I will save some money that is used for transportation just to visit them and also I will save time.

It is depend on the situation. For me,I could not live within my family or the same place with my family since my job was very far from that location so I did stay where my wife is.

For me I would always love to live as close to my parents and brother as possible. My parents live a short 20 mins away and my bro is less than 5 mins away. I dont know what the future holds, but it would be nice.
