Has anyone on here ever dealt with K12. They are opening a new school in the area where I live, and I am considering letting my children attend there. I am going to an informational meeting this week, but wanted to find out if anyone has their children in this program. From what I understand, they would go to school two days a week and be homeschooled the other three days. I was wondering how your children like it if your children go their. Is the program good? I don't know about it, I don't like public schools and private schools aren't my cup of tea either and I love homeschooling my children. My children like being homeschooled also, but also sometimes want to go back to school to see friends on a regular basis. So I am thinking this may be the best of both worlds.

I really like this idea too! In my state, using K12 through the school system means doing it 100% from home. We're going to try it this year and in fact I just rec'd most of our materials and a laptop. It's basically a virtual school using K12.com.

Right on, we just got our stuff to from the school, though the computer they sent us is a desk top with a flat screen monitor. Which we didn't need and I told them so, but I guess in order to keep their charter they have to provide one to every family. Now we have an extra.
