What is the weather like in your area today? It is raining at my end.

Hello mylot friends. Long time no see. It has been raining for a couple of days. Now the small river outside my window or apartment is full and brown. My school apartment, which is on the fifth floor, is about fifty meters away from the small river and ten meters away from the green leaves you can see on the photo, allowing me to take a good photo of the surroundings of the river from one of my windows facing it. To match this topic, I took a few photos today (June 10th, 2008) and now I have chosen one of the best photos to illustrate the full and brown river with green bamboo and reeds on both sides. So what is the weather like in your place today? Do you enjoy the weather? I love to see the rain and river outside my window while I am working at my laptop. Love from williamjisir

Hi williamjisir! How are you my friend! It's been awhile since I saw you here. I am glad that you are around now. You're blessed to wake up each morning and see such beautiful sight. From my end, our weather is really hot lately and I just hope and pray for a little rain just to cool us all down. But not strong rains for it can be devastating. Take care and God bless!

Hello dear faith. Yeah, I always wake up from listening to the chirping birds and seeing the river outside the window in the morning and the sunset down the mountain in the distance. Right now it is still raining here. I hope that you will also have some rain to cool the weather for the pleasure of life. Please enjoy yourself, my faith friend.

Hello again william. You're good with the camera. I like the photo you've taken. Being a nature lover myself. The weather here in my country is a little bit "confused" One minute, the sun is shining and the next minute, you will just hear loud thunders and it will suddenly rain very hard. The result, I always have to make a fast run to the clothes I left hanging under the very warm shining sun, or I thought so.... If you ask me, I prefer sunny days even if it's uncomfortably warm. Really don't like long, continous rainy days. Makes me a little sad. And lazy...

Hello dear jcj. Your response reminds me of my childhood days. When there were thunders, I always hid under the dinning table to protect myself. My parents and sister always tell me about this when they talk about my childhood. But now I won't. I just try to stay inside without going out during the thunder and lightening period. hehehe. Thank you, jcj. Great day.

Hello dear jcj. I was once told by my colleague from the Philippines that they have a lot of thunders there a year. I don't like to be out when there is a thunder as it is dangerous. There are some people who are killed by the thunders and lightening. It is awful. So you prefer hot weather rather than rain. But when it is hot, I prefer to have more rain instead. hehe. Thank you, jcj, and stay cool.

Yes, although I prefer the sun, I also don't like the sound of loud thunders. Oh, especially lightnings. I'm like a little scared girl when there are crazy lightning displays. My 7 year old niece was actually surprised when she saw me trying to cover myself behind her mother's back. The three of us were outside the house when the lightnings appeared.

Hi William Good to see you after a while. You live such a beautiful place! The river is really full and prosperous. And the green is amazing! In my place rains have just started as well. But with miserable road condition and less of greens I do not like it much except for the times when I have holidays and at home. I love to drench myself on the terrace, it's feels lovely. Have you ever tried this? If not, go, give it a shot. You will feel different and fresh. H A P P Y G A Z I N G.

Hello dear mimpi. Good to see you, too. Yes, I love my apartment location very much for the beautiful view. Also in the early morning and late afternoon I can hear and see birds of different kinds chirping and flying between the green leaves and across the river. The river looks beautiful when it has enough water, but not when there is no rain leaving the river very shallow. But even if I stand on the balcony, I cannot drench myself because no rain can get in the balcony or the terrace you mean. Does it mean the same thing as balcony here? hehe. Thank you and glad to hear from you, mimpi. Good day.

Hi jisir, from the attached photo I could see how tranquil and attractive the landscape is after raining outside your window. I could imagine how relaxed and comfortable to sit in front of it to work on your laptop. Yeah, the sluggish flow small river makes the scene much lively. Here in my place, it is 10:30 in the morning. I could see the leafy plants and the leaves of the rambutan trees are waving in the breeze outside the window. The morning sun is coming in through the window at my right hand side. I could hear the chirpy birds singing their melodious songs on the branches of the tree. I like the cool morning weather here and it is 28 degree C currently. It would become rather hot during afternoon and the temperature would rise up to 33 degree C or so later on. So it's the best time for me to do mylot posting during this moment. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Hi jisir, I like the current temperature in your place. Yeah it is so comfortable that to live in places with such weather of temperature from 10 to 25 degree centigrade all the time. We could enjoy few hours of low temperature from 25 to 27 degree centigrade in the morning only. That’s why people here prefer to escape from the scorching heat to spend the holidays in the local mountain tourist sites here. Well, the temperature there usually is from 17 to 23 degree centigrade all year round. I live in a small country and about 6 mountain scenic sites are available here only. The biggest, well developed and popular one is the Genting-The City of Entertainment. There are a lot of tourists from different foreign countries visiting the scenic site there every now and then. I could see lots of tourists from your country as well to visit this highland tourist site during my vacation there. Yeah, hopefully the clothes hanging outside could get dried before the shower start. Enjoy your warm and comfortable weather these days, my dear friend.

Hello lkbooi. The temperature today is from 10 to 25 degrees centigrade. It is very warm today and I just took an early shower and had my clothes washed in the washing machine. I will air the clothes outside my window tomorrow morning, but it is said that there will be a shower of rain late in the afternoon tomorrow. I hope that all the clothes will be dry before noon time. I love the lovely weather these days, warm and comfortable. This is the spring that I like. Enjoy yourself, friend.

It is cloudy now and windy. I guess that it will rain later this afternoon. The temperature today is from 7 to 9 centigrade degrees, a little cold. Yes, there are more and more Chinese paying a visit to foreign countries, especially those in southeast Asia. I wish to some day have enough money and a proper chance to pay a visit to one of the countries together with my wife and kids. Have a good day, lkbooi.

It is hot and humid weather, here in Delhi, when I read your discussion. Although, it was raining heavily, yesterday and it was very pleasent, but today again weather has turned muggy and humid. Rains and rainy season do make me feel happy and I enjoy it very much, provided when it is raining, I am sitting either in my home or at my office....LOL!

Here in Bangalore too, for whole of India, students have come from all over India to take part in the Common Entrance Test to seek admission into Medical, Engineering and other professional courses. In fact this centre is walkable distance from my residence. I have been listening to their probelms - here teachers are so commercial minded, no one gives advice or guidance to the students. Only their parents, relatives give the guidance. It was not so a decade ago. Regarding rains, we have been watching the weather report - there is excess in every country - excess heat, excess rain. Perhaps this can be attribtuted to global warming and careless and irresponsible use of environment by mankind.

Hello dear friend ssh. I have been busy the whole semester, but I am very glad that my students have just finished their national college entrance examination. They had the exam on June 7th and 8th, which is a fixed date. Now they are back home waiting for the final result till June the 26th before they will know the result of the exam. They need to come back for consultation of what colleges to choose to study at if they pass the exam. In the past few months, I have been working very hard for them and in the evening we had to work until 10:30 p.m together with the students in the classroom, four classes in the evening. It is really a very hard job, but now I am glad that our teaching mission is finished, leaving me some other time belonging to my personal use. So you are starting to have the monsoon now. Too much rain causes trouble and damage. In fact, it is the same with us here in China where there are many places having heavy rain causing so much loss. I hope that the rain would not be too heavy. Moderate rain is good enough for the farm and the life of people. Take care, my dear friend. I thank you very much for your greeting.

Hello dear mpinstshi. I am glad to know that you come from Zimbabwe. You are right that I am in China and we are just beginning to have our summer. I extend my warmest welcome to you for a visit to my country. My boss's daughter used to work in your country as an interpreter for two years. I think that it is a very good experience for her to have worked abroad. Also if I could get such a chance, I would be very happy to go and work abroad as well. I am sure that I can see a lot of African animals like what we can see on TV. My favorite TV program is Animal World, which talks a lot about African animals, like zebras and lions and elephants and many gorillas and so on. To me, Africa is mysterious and beautiful land. Welcome to visit China, my dear friend.

It is a pity that at the moment we are going through an unprecedented social, economical and political upheaval. But this is just a passing phase. As soon as things settle down you can come visit our country . . .I'l be your tour guide, on top of seeing the wildlife you will have a chance to experience rural life in Zim that is if you wish. Keep in touch and stay blessed.

The weather here where I am in UK started off dull, cloudy and cold this morning. But now it has cleared up a bit and the sun is out and it has been lovely and warm again. I do not enjoy it when it rains and I do not like it when it is cold either. I much prefer the warm sunny weather of late spring and early summer when it is not too hot but it is not cold either.

Hello dear gemini_rose. I often read some articles about the weather in England, but I am so sure about it. The news or article I read is usually like this: you always go out with an umbrella for fear that it rains some other hours of the day because you might go out with fine or foggy weather, but in a couple of hours, it has the possibility of having rain. Could it be true to the news in general, please?

It's a sunny day in Zhuhai. It kept raining for the previous 3 or 4 days. Today it just stops and gave us great sunshine. Actually it's too much for me. Anyway it's better than those rainy days. The only thing I can see from my balcony is the noisy boys of the opposite dormitory building.

You seem to be living in such a beautiful green place. OK may not be so green from other angles, but at least you get to see some green from where you live. Most of us are not so lucky and with the rivulet in full flow and the blue misty mountains in the background…I would have loved to stay and work in such a place. Sometimes when I am tired of my city life and work, I do wish I could go to the districts or some village and work there. The monsoon is upon us here in India too and as of now, we are having sporadic rainfall. Not enough to paint the city green yet, but its such a relief after the scorching summer sun. I like the monsoons but only when I can afford to stay at home and watch the rain fall. I dislike it when its raining and I have to go out for office.

Hello dear scg. It is the same with me that I do not like it when I have to go out to work in the office, only when I do not have go somewhere. There were a few times when it was raining hard with huge thunderstorms rolling down. That is a time when I hate to go out for the sake of safety, but I have to go to work in the office. When this happens, it is very annoying. Thank you very much for your response that I have got to know that you have monsoon rain. It is the first time that I have ever heard about it. I have learned a lot from you with appreciation. Take care.

Today it started out sunny and then it got gray out. Then the tornado warning sirens went off and I wondered what was going on and had to change the tv channel to see how serious this was. There were some possible swirling clouds in the area but no tornados. There weren't even heavy winds in the area where I live but there were some tree, branches and vehicles blown around in other places in the area. There were several things shown on the news, but nothing near where I live. It did rain very hard and is still raining a little but has stopped for the most part.
