Which antivirus software you are using? Are you using different virus guard for your system files and internet files?
I am using McAfee.

we are using avast and AVG..my brother is the one who knows about such things

You should really only be using one antivirus. Using more then one can cause problems. I highly suggest you remove one of them.

i do not have a say on that..

I've installed McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5 version. But am facing a compatibility issue because my operating system is Win XP 64 bit .

Is McAfee enterprise 8.5 is the latest version? I think we can update McAfee online.

AVG and Avast are very good antivirus programs!
Try it and you'll be glad with the results! just always keep it updated

I use avg free and have for quite a few years now and i really like it.
