whats your favourite variety of meat pie

i had a meat pie for dinner tonight the first one in a long time.it got me thinking of all sorts of varieties.my favourite is chicken and avocado pie.followed by steak and bacon,whats your favourite.cheers sue

Well I have to admit the chicken and avocado sounds intriguing. I like chicken and I like avocado, but I can't imagine how this makes up. The same for the steak and bacon. Like them both. Interesting how food makes up different in different locations. - Where we live sure changes our eating style. I like a frozen Marie Callendar chicken pot pie. Better than I can make for sure. It has a lovely flay crust. I do make a meat pie out of browned hamburger, peas and carrots in a sauce. My grandmother made it for us years ago and we're still making it every now and then.

the chicken and avocado pie is delicious for sure,it is in a type of white mornay sauce.it is interesting that where we live we have different styles of eating.i suppose australia is a big pie eating country,so we have many varieties.your pies sound yummy.cheers sue

Thank you for the BR. I haven't had any of the meat pies for a long while. summer here has made me a lazy cook I guess.

mine is the french canadian tortiere, which is made with veal, beef, and port hamburger meat, we in quebec call it mince meat from the french viande hachees.

sounds nice rose. at this pie shop near me i have hada beef burgandy which was delicious.i never had a pie with veal,sound nice though.cheers sue
