I've never sold things on ebay before, with the fees is it worth it?

If you have something larger or if you're concerned about the fees, you could try selling your items on Craigslist.org first. There are no fees to list items for sale on Craigslist, so it wouldn't hurt anything. Plus, you sell to local people so they pick up the items and you don't have to mail the items. On the other hand, you don't have the luxury of reviewing feedback like you do on eBay.

It all depends on what you are selling and you get better results by giving a lot of information. If you are unsure and want to give it a shot I say wait until they have one there specials when you can list with free auction listing or something like that. Also for me until I got my rating up a bit I didn't sell much. It is tough to judge when you will make a profit and when you won't.

I have sold a TON of stuff on Ebay. I made enough on there to pay off one credit card. It's fun too. But I agree with the reponse from before you have to be smart in what you sell.

I've sold quite a bit on ebay and I think it's worth it. I've made a lot of money on ebay and the fees are not bad at all.

absoulely. as long as what you are selling is worth a little something... If you are trying to sell buttons or bumper stickers or something else small for $2 a pop, it probably isn't worth your time. but if you have a closet full of name brand clothes that you can't wear because you've lost weight, or a collectables collection or something like that, go for it!

I love ebay. It is definitely worth it. Some things that you think are junk, other people want. The fees aren't really that bad either. Just make sure you cover for them in handling fees or shipping costs.

It is totally worth it. Thats how I get money to buy new clothes for my kids. I sell the clothes that are in ike new condition and take that money and buy them new ones. Its well worth it.

I have bought and sold things on ebay. No problems here. The fees really are not that bad. They charge based on what extra features you want. You can have a basic aucion for around .55 cents. The fees go up with some of the features. Sometimes it is worth paying the extra. Ebay has alot of help on the site on how to sell and how to post an auction. Good luck and have fun.

I've sold 2 things on Ebay, just this past month and the fees were this..for a 489.99 item fess were 16.89, for a 20.00 fees were 1.16. Not too bad, huh? You can pay once a month or right there after the sale. Pretty easy!!

If you have something worth selling, you can make quite a bit of money on it. I have a friend who is a farmer and he sells goats skulls on E-bay for about $250 each.
