Best response decision. What do you think?

I think that if topic doesn't have more than 10 responses I shouldn't give anyone a best response award, couse some people may not want to write anymore in such topic. What do you think about it? Is such decision a fair one?

Well, since this is your discussion, then you will have to decide this. It is up to you on what you do.. While your opinion is yours, others feel differently.. This is your choice.

Well I think that I will give those BR prices anyway but after one or two days of silence in the topics. I've just gave something like 20 br prices and I am happy with that. Thanks for the discussion.

Well! I think everyone should be given a fair chance and quality overrules quantity. And I hope Mylot would come up with some improvement where a time frame is given before the topic is closed and a response should be chosen in that period irrelevant 1 or 10 responses. It's more challenging that way otherwise most users will be take a long time to do the marking. I have a few no response yet, don't know when will get to mark it. Cheers,

I give a best response when I see a really good, well earned one. Regardless of how many replies are in the disussion, be it 2 or 20 it doesn't matter. You usually just know when a reply merits it. I don't think it stops others from replying either. I myself have responded in disucssions after a best response has been already chosen. I don't look for that. I just look for interesting discussions that make me WANT to reply to them!

hi again:). I don't mind responding to a discussion, which has best response already marked. It is only important for me, if the topic is interesting or not. I think many mylotters think that way. Of course, when a discussion is new and you expect, that more people will respond to it, it is good idea to wait some time with marking best response. I have started discussions, which weren't popular at all;). One of them for example has only 1 response. So I gave best response to this only one post:). cheerio, jazgottt.

BR price for the fullest answer to my question. Others one were so great that it was like choosing a cake. It was really hard.

wow, thanks for best response, it is nice to receive it:). And I agree that choosing best response is a really hard choice, cause usually at least half of responses are very good:). bye, jazgottt.

We should mark the response which is best among others. Even if there are only few responses. We are rating the content of the response not the number.

I think we should give best response if it is 10 0r 2 to give credit to the reponse.

I usually wait until the discussion has had no activity for a few days so I know everyone had a chance to respond. Then I go through and re-read the responses and choose a best response. I think it is only fair to give a best response even if there is only one response given. If people take time to respond to my discussions I take time to give a best response. Sometimes it's hard to choose a best response so I look at who gave the best input or made me look at things differently or maybe someone who raised a great point.

You should give a best response even if one person responded. The person took the time to respond, If you only get one response then you posed a question no one is interested in? There's no such thing as a stupid question minus! Also you'll note at the bottom of your logo under discussions there one called my unresolved discussions, they stay there forever, until you award a best response, if you don't get anyresponse they are there forever and they add up! Good Luck!!! tdemex

If the comment is good, it deserves a best response. 1 good post is better than 10 posts of crap.

I agree with that. I'm not telling that I don't want to give BR awards, I mean that I want to hold them until there's enough responses. Then choose one post and award it.
