If you're a tea drinker, like me, you're probably familiar with the dreaded tea stain that you get on cups. While tea is enjoyable, it can leave the worst kind of stain in porcelain cups and glasses. But, the easiest way to remove tea stain from almost any kind of cup is with baking soda.
Simply make a baking soda/water paste and scrub over the tea stain area. Allow to sit for a couple minutes. Then take a semi-wet scrub pad and wipe over the area. Rinse well. The cup or glass will look practically new.
You can also use scrunched up aluminum foil in glasses to remove the tea or coffee stain. Simply wet down the glass and scrunched up foil and clean the glass as usual. This won't work on ceramic and may leave unsightly marks.

Tip for cleaning glass / crystal vases after they have held cut flowers, and have gone all green and fuzzy -
Fill slowly with hot water from the tap, add a drop of bleach and a drop of washing up liquid whilst filling with water. Allow to stand for an hour or so. Rinse with fresh water and the inside will be clean as a whistle!
Tip for cleaning the toilet -
Instead of expensive bleachy type products just pour a splash of coke into the bowl. We have all seen the copper penny test, so we know what cola can do to dirt and grime, why not use in the toilet. (Have not tried this one myself, but saw it on TV and it actually worked.) I would still have to do the squirt round the rim with bleach thing, but might try the coke trick some time. Much cheaper.

An even easier and quicker way to clean them is to put a little bit of bleach in your dish water and let them soak for about 10 minutes and no scrubbing, then are usually all clean. I have been doing it this way since I was young as it was the way my mom did it and the way her mom did it. Try it and see if you like doing it that way, as then you don't have much if any scrubbing to do. All you have to do is rinse them and dry them and done.

This is a frugal beauty tip that I read about yesterday, also involving coke! Apparently if you rinse your hair in the stuff it gives it a trendy, unkempt, 'just got out of bed' look. Most days I don't need to do anything to my hair for it to look like that, lol!
But maybe one day it would be fun to try it and see what happens!!
