I know this is going to sound corny, but here goes. I am a quiet, private person and am not publicly demonstrative. So when I reached my lowest point in life I gathered up my strength and said a quiet prayer all alone in my apartment. I asked the Lord to come into my heart and fill me with his presence. I said it out loud, of course I was all alone in the house. And it happened! Suddenly I felt loved and peaceful and have never had that "empty" desolate feeling since that time. Oh, I'm not happy or giddy all the time, but even in really bad times, I no longer feel all alone or deserted. The sense of relief and peace is amazing. I'm so glad it happened. I hope you find the peace you crave. God Bless

thanks for your response, i was once a happy and bubbly child of Him, I thought everything's perfect until now, I lost my appetite for no definite reason, hope this will end really soon, I miss being at peace.

If you go to my profile there is a song playing there. Listen to the words and imagine those words are coming to you from Him. Never mind who sings it or whether it is a love song or whatever. Just think of it as a message from Him to you. It made an impact on my life, maybe it will bring you peace and loving hope too.

Hello Ynamorata, Yes - we all go through many tests and trials throughout our life but the important thing is that you keep giving God praise and honor and glory even in your valley experiences. It's tough and sometimes even though you're doing all you can and praying and praising, you still feel empty like God's not responding - but He is there so don't worry! He's still beside you, leading and guiding you and this is just a test. He would never put more on you than you can bear, don't forget that, and he is a just and faithful God. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Keep your mind focused on Jesus and He will give you perfect peace in these tough times.

I think every Christian goes through this point in their life. Rick Warren talks about it in the 14th chapter of Purpose Driven Life (I read it last night so it's still in my mind) we go through these times because we are being tested to see if like Job we will continue to praise and honor him.

Hello And welcome to mylot.Yes I do know exactly how you are feeling. I too go through times like this. When I am feeling like you do I pray a lot, go to church to hear the word, and to fellowship with other believers, read my bible more. The last time that this happened to me, i had somany problems in my life, I could not see any light at the end of the tunnel, so I went before te church and asked for special prayer.I was annoyned with oil, the church prayed for me, and I got filled with the spirit, I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off of me, and I fell out.I never felt so good in my life.God Bless
