Do you use a steam mop?

Do you use a steam mop? Do you like it or perfer the old sponge mop? If you use a steam mop which brand? I am thinking of buying one but I don't know which one to pick. There is the H2O mop and the swifter steam mop and a few others. Which one do I choose if any one at all?

I have never heard of a steam mop, so obviously I just use a regular mop. I know swifter has a mop in that you can have the spray connected to it and that is nice, I like those, my sister-in-law has one and my daughter and I have used hers. I am thinking of getting one of those, but as for a "steam mop" I have no idea what that is. Have a great day.

You must not watch tv as the commercials for steam mops are plentiful. I have the swifter mop and it is okay but I dont' like having to buy refill bottles. Can't be good for the inviroment. I would be happy if we had to buy a one refill bottle once in a while to fill the one for the mop but that isn't so. I like it though but I think I would really love the steam mop. This is why I ask if others have it because sometimes the commercials make things look and sound really good but then you buy it and it is garbage. Thanks for posting.

Yes, you are correct, I don't watch much television. We have not had cable for over a year, in fact we just got it connected 2 days ago, but considering that I have 3 kids involved in sports and/or music and I work 3 part-time jobs I don't think I will be watching much until...at least fall time but since I can get a little time in each evening for tv now, I may end up catching the commercial for the steam mop and when I do I am sure I will be reminded of you and your conversation here. Hi CoffeeAnyone, I hate my sponge mop. I have a rag mop that twists on the handle its just a tad better and I have been wondering about these steam mops myself. I will watch this thread closely as I am interested in opinions as well.

Is it possible that there are no mylotter's using the steam mops? I think I see these commercials at least once a day and they really look great; but I am so sick of buying things that don't live up to the claims. I really would like to hear some opinions on these buys. Are they happy with their steam mop? Have they tried more then one brand of steam mop? Would they buy them as gifts for people because they think they are so great or think they are a total scam? Thanks for posting Angel.
