That's me and I'm truly scared.I don't think anyone will want to take me out. I have PLS which means I wear leg braces and use a walker to get around.I'm only 49 but this fact does make me wonder. You know how people can be.

My old friend's mother had to walk with braces and a walker as well but she was a beautiful lady with a great personality. I know that some people would probably have difficulties with it, but then again, there are some people that aren't accepting of people with light hair, or accepting of African-Americans, or Asians, or other various things. There is always going to be someone that likes you for you regardless of whether or not you have leg braces and a walker.

join a club of a particular activity that you enjoy. and hang out with like-minded people, get to know each other as individuals, bond, create good friends, and maybe something will develop from there.

It's probably wise not to keep your hopes up high. But also not too low, it's not impossible. But indeed... people can be cruel when it comes to things you can't do much about, but aren't the most charmant attributes. Focus on your good qualities and make them better if you can, it's a bit like selling yourself. You might not find a buyer, but you could feel better about yourself and you might find more nice friends. After all, friends is something you can have till the end of your days without the risk that they will leave you when you loose something.

One positive way to think about is when that person comes along, they will be judging you by the content of your character and not by some physical characteristics that will probally change someday anyway. Remember that the people and things that are meant for you will come to you without much effort on your behalf.
