In Central Florida we are in a 3 year drought. Yesterday.. It thundered and lightninged just 3 miles south from us... still no rain. Today however.. we got a real good soaking and it is raining again. Thank God! I was at work when it started pouring. was on my break and I went out and danced in it. If they didn't know me, my co -workers would have thought I was insane, but who cares what anyone thinks. I do not water my grass because it is a waste of electricity (I am on well water) so my grass is brown. I am so happy it rained. Hopefully, this is the beginning of our regular afternoon T-storms. Did you get much needed rain today(or recently) , or are you doing a rain dance

Well, here in the desert we don't get much rain, so any rain is welcome. We had a bunch of rain what was it, a few weeks ago. Everything smelled so fresh and clean. It washed the dust off the cars. I'd do a rain dance, but I think it would be a waste of energy. When we lived back in Ohio and Pennsylvania, it seemed we had too much rain. I'd go out in the rain anyway on a nice warm day - playing in the rain is so fun. Except when it's thundering of course.

Yes I LOVE playing in the rain and I do so every chance I get (I do watch for the lightning) I think along with the fresh and clean spell the rain brings, it also makes it look greener too.

I love the rain. I lived in the Southwest for so long and missed the rain so much that I can't get enough of it! Maybe you could put down some weed prevention cloth over your grass and cover your yard with crushed granite. Then you have big flower pots and stuff, it would look beautiful. That's what I did in Arizona and it's so easy to care for, no wasting water and no upkeep!

Glad its getting to where it needs to be. We have had way too much her in Minnesota. It rained for way to long that some areas flooded. Specially by the Wisconsin border which is as most know the worst of it. We got sun today finally.

We have been in that drought as well over the last three years Dizz, but this spring has now broken that for us. Maybe its going to get better for you too. Last year the farmers could not even grow hay for live stock and was selling off left and right. We so need a good year.
