So what are you saving for that hard earned money or allowance? Me I'm saving for my wife's delivery and our children's needs. In the future, when I have a higher salary, I'll be saving for my children's education and for me and my wife's other dreams.

i'll be getting some funds this august. i'll use it to buy an external hard drive for my computer since my videos are already eating up a lot of space. i will also use it to subscribe to a different internet provider. my current connection is killing me. it's not slow but i want it to be faster. by december, i'll try to buy a psp. then by feb, i'll use some funds to buy for new tires for my car. ;)

I'm saving mainly for the retirement. But aside from that I'm also saving for emergency needs. Family needs ofcourse is not just saving's purpose but for every day's. Saving a part of salary is a good habit. It somehow gives you confidence and peace of mind that when a need come, you'll have something and wouldn't have to ask for financial assistance from anyone else.

We are saving money just for the studies of our kids.Since gas price is continously increasing,so we need to have more savings in the future for them to continue their studies and school expenses.

I'm mainly saving for emergency purposes. Every time payroll comes, I budget my salary for food, bi-monthly wage of our son's nanny, and personal needs of our son. Then I also take a portion of my salary to be saved in the bank, which will be used in cases of emergency. I don't want to become a very dependent person, always looking for someone who'd help us when emergency comes.
