Satelite tv vs the HD box?????????????????????????`

MY dad wants to get either the satelite tv or the HD box to make our tv watching experience much more exciting. The only problem is that he doesnt know the difference between the two. he knows that with satelit eoyu can pick up on tv shows aired in other countries that you cant normally see where you live. But other than that he is clueless. that why he asked me. ME???? he thinks that sonce i use the internet alot that i will be able to easily find the info online in a snap. but to find a good comparison it takes a little more effort and searching. will soemone please help me and my dad.
