I think because boy has very little sensitive sense in his heart. He pre-given self responsible attitude and feelings and that make him prefer to solve his problems himself.

i dont know and i dotn think it is right. but i think it is a part of the initiation process into becoming the man. and men are suposed to be able to provide and fight and be the protectors so it has become a part of society to treat them as if they are.
