Jerkyong, as long as you have an income, no matter how small, there is always something you can budget and save. I used to believe that I'm not earning enough. And that's what we tend to believe really. But after reading books and increase my financial literacy, I realized,it's not that I'm not earning enough, but I'm spending much higher or just equal to my salary. That is the reason why I'm not able to have savings. Also, if you'll say you will save the excess of your money after all the expenses, chances are, you wont get any savings as well. Why?, there's just isn't enough for your expenses. What you have to do is, treat your savings as one of your expenses. This is what we used to do : Salaray - Expenses = Savings.. This is wrong! It should be Salary - Savings = Expenses. Decide how much you want to save and deduct it once you get your salary. The rest, use it for all your expenses. It's not easy I know, but it's doable. And once you get used to it, it'll become much easier. goodluck buddy!

It is really hard to make a budget nowadays. I also find it hard to make the ends meet but I am doing just a bit fine now. I have to avoid the sudden impulse buying that I used to do before and it seems a good try. So I am doing now is to calculate all the earning that me and my husband has and then do the calculation also to all the expenses. Then subtract the expenses from the income and if I got a negative answer I will find ways to decrease the budget on those things that is not that needed. I am doing this for a month and a half and its wuite helpful to us.
