Choosing Best Responses

How often do you go through and select Best Responses? Are you ever at a point when all of your discussions are resolved? I have gone through and selected best responses for almost all of my dicussions, there are a few that have 0 responses, so I cant. There are also one or two discussions, where I do not believe there is a best response, mainly because my question was not answered, or something of that matter. Are all of your discussions resolved? Do you care about BR's? I think when you really select a response that you feel deserves a BR, that makes one feel good.

I choose the best response from time to time... especially when i cannot find anything to respond to here... and i don't let my unresolved discussions reach 3 pages... that would be difficult to handle... i checked out your discussions... and i couldn't find those with no response... so i think i will just go over those with less than 5 responses...

Well thank you. I will have too look into it, but I think many of my no responses have been responded to. Thanks!

I actually went through my discussions today and cleaned them all up. I just go through them when I get the chance. I'll go through them earlier if none of my discussions seem to be getting any more replies then I'll just pick the best reponse and be done with it.

There has been a few times that I have gotten the best response and that was nice to know but there are so many discussions to the point to get at least one top rank a week is fine with me. I do more commenting to discussions than starting discussions. Have a nice one.

I would pick up the best response after I feel that there are enough answers to select a best response, especially when the most wanted answer has really hit my question pretty well. :P however, I have difficulty in deciding which one would deserve it when there were more than one person have the 'very valid' answer. so ... it is a hard work. :P and yes, I think everyone would feel good when they get a best response. ;)

It is nice to receive a BR, I must say but as you say not everyone responds to the question. I have gone back to some of mine and seen that I have done that (groan, I try not to). I usually pick a day and go through all of my responses (huh, the 4 of them) and then try and give one of them a BR. Some people just give it to their friends but I try to give it to the BR and if it happens to be a friend then that is OK by me!!!! :) There are people out there who have quite a few discussions and responses and so I can see that they will never have time to go back and read them all. Keep on posting, I'll keep on responding!

I've only been active for almost three days, but I believe someone should carefully select the true best response within their discussion after providing a reasonable amount of time for members to respond. I wouldn't want to give the first person to answer a best response, because what if the second person provided a better response? The only exception to this, I believe, is if a discussion were only to receive one response within, say, one month. This way, the person who receives your BR really knows that you have giving it careful consideration and that they are really deserving of the honor. I am eagerly anticipating dishing out my first best response soon!

As long as it answers the question and gave the ideas you are yearning for... Go ahead and give them some reward for a job well done
