A community in my town takes away the recyclable trash for a small fee every week. So i do keep two bins - one for the plastics and the other for organic. Do you sepatate plastics from your trash?

I used to not bother with any of these things because I thought how much difference can I possibly make. Well, about 2 years ago I changed that mentality COMPLETELY!! I now recycle cans, plastic and carton/cardboard. Our city comes by to collect it once a week. I also recently started taking my "green bags" every time I go shopping. Plastic bags are SO bad for the environment and the ocean and paper bags... well... think of all the trees that are being killed for them.

I think it's our concern very much, what happens to the environment around us. Unfortunately, not many really care. I find many just shrug at this "global warming" or polluting our earth, water and air concept. Especially in the devoloped countries, the people who are "in power" dont care to spend time taking care of environment. They only care about their work, and how much money they get out of it. I think pollution from waste materials will be a serious concern in the future, and the world leaders will perhaps, even then, refuse to recognise it as a threat... calling it "natural flow for the Earth"...
