Yes! Not just because this was my favorite movie either. This movie gave him a chance to to really let loose in a role. So often in Hollywood the roles are very restricted. Be this, don't be that, more tears, too sappy, etc. This movie just seemed to flow so naturally from beginning to end. You couldn't really overact in this, just underact. Russell Crowe definitely rose to the occasion on this one. I didn't really see him as General of Roman troops. He not only pulled it off, but greater than that this will be remembered as one the best performances of all time. He could have dropped the mic after this film. LOL

I don't know, he was really good in A Beautiful Mind. Gladiator was good, but A Beautiful Mind took some serious acting talent and he pulled it off wonderfully. Have you seen it?
