Naps doesn't really counts.. hehe ^_^ Because some take naps when they feel bored and it's not like they really needed one to replenish their body energy.. hehe..
Yup, it's true, because over sleeping and lacking of sleep will make ple gain weight, plus our mind will be working even harder to get us moving.. Thus, sleeping for the right amount of hours, will enable our mind to work properly and thus resulting in a healthier body ^_^

Too bad then I thought I read in some studies that short naps is good to rejuvenate the body back. This goes with the usual sigh...too much also cannot, too little also cannot..sigh..lol
Anyway as we grow older we don't require much and that's the positive side of it :)

Hie Uautkarsh, I read that in yesterday featured article " The Ideal Amount of Sleep " at Yahoo webpage. Well! They did say also 8 hours is not that safe:)
But they will be running further test to find out whether short sleepers extending their sleep and long sleepers cutting short a bit earlier in their sleep will live longer...goshhhh..so mouthful..lol
I believe whether short or not, as long you feel fresh after a sleep that's good enough.
You can read the article here

That's good news for me as I think I get about that many hours on an average night. I used to sleep a lot more, I felt I had to have at least eight hours, but as I get older I find I need less sleep.
I can have a nap sometimes but I don't make a habit of it. Sometimes when I go to bed I fall asleep and wake up feeling fully awake after a brief nap. Then sleep is impossible so I have to do other things until I feel tired enough to try and sleep again.

Hie paid2write, I find that happen to me too if I take long naps so I try not to take too often. And indeed a relief for those having sleeping problems no doubt, knowing about this. But sometimes I can say for myself, it's not that I can't sleep but a habit of reading too much into the late night and it spoils my sleeping pattern.
The article is from the Yahoo web page - "The Ideal Amount OF Sleep".
Happy posting and cheers,
