There was this guy who looks so handsome, neat, and real smart. He speaks in low tone, you'd notice right away that he's got breeding and came from university. In fact, he's a lawyer! BUT the next moment you'll realize that he's GAY! A gay friend told me once, that a gay would instantly "smell" that the guy who just walked in is gay too, no matter how manly he looks, walks or speaks. Well, of course its different if he cross-dresses because that speaks the obvious. But what if you started to have a crush on this guy who turns out to be gay once you really get to know him? Would you rather get to know him to find out if you could be friends? or just totally forget about him? Would you ever hope that he'll eventually change to become a real man? Tell me...

Gay people have this instinct that is frequently referred to as 'gaydar'... it's kinda like having antenna that start twitching when another gay person is seen. Like your friend says, it doesn't matter how the person looks... there is something that can be detected. I hope however, that you were unaware of the fact that your question about wanting a gay guy to change and become a 'real man' is actually offensive... what makes you think that a gay man is somehow not a REAL man?

Oops sorry for that jewel, no offense meant really. What I meant by that was - is it possible for a homosexual to turn "straight" at some point in his life for whatever reason? I have nothing against gay people, in fact I have gay friends too and we do get to talk a lot about these things too..Again am sorry jewel, I hope am forgiven..Thanks for responding.

It's okay, there is nothing to forgive. I wasn't offended. I just wanted to let you know that the term could be interpreted that way. Personally, I understood what you meant. Just that as a lesbian who tried hard to be heterosexual I sometimes find it hurtful when people think I'm somehow less of a woman for being gay. Sometimes I even cop it from other homosexuals... get treated like a second class lesbian because of all the years I spent trying to be hetero.

I also have a gay friend and i don't feel anything wrong with him. I am not a gay but he is. Yes your friend is right. A gay can tell you if other guy is gay or not. This person is looks like a gay. He speaks like them and he is always horney for some gay action. Once is invite me to do it and i did. Although i am not a gay but i really enjoyed it. Thanks
