Some friends are so cautious as i find here, they don't reveal their gender in profile.. as it will be hidden.. and also, one can't guess by the user name that they have here.. It may be a very common name or will involve some numbers clubbed with letters.. While responding to such kind of friends, have you ever mis categorized the gender of the friends, and felt embarrassed when you come to know! If one wants to probe and find,if one carefully follows their discussions it may be easily found out.. however cautious they may be. Because there are certain points of time, where we side aside every caution we have exercised so far, and have a go at the thread that which interests us most or provokes us most..

Hi saivenkaat802003! Yes, that had happened to me. Once, I have thought that this certain mylotter is a boy and I can't find in his profile the gender. there are times that I will think that he is a she and sometimes I will be misled again. The discussions and responses made have misled me until one time I have been responding to another mylotter whom I know is a boy but kept the gender in question too. Anyway, as I we were exchanging responses. he confirmed to me that the said mylotter who I have thought as a he, then suspected that he is a she, is after all a real she! Whew! Well, gender should not really be an issue here but of course, I just want to know if my friend is a he or a she. Take care and God bless my best HE-friend! haha..

hi saiven! yes indeed! i have mistook someone for a boy when in fact, she was 100% a girl! her username sounded like a guy's name and i have watched a drama with a lead guy who had the same name as her username so i really thought that she was a guy! and then, as we converse along in our discussions, i found out that she was actually a girl! ^__^;; i think it wasn't indicated in her profile if she was a guy or a girl, that's why i just based it on her username. i was embarrassed too, to myself and to her. but i couldn't do anything about it but just laugh at my mistake. ^__^;; i don't know why people are so cautious about their gender. i mean, why do we have to hide our true gender when in fact, we would be able to guess it in our discussions and responses? what could be the reason that they don't want other people to know if they are a girl or a boy? i really don't understand it...

In fact I don't understand why some people will hide their genders. I don't think it's shall be a big secret. I think it's the basic information for others to know more about you. In such kind of case, I will wonder whether this one is a female or male. But usually my guess is wrong, haha. I love China

Yes sometimes there is a confusion regarding the gender of a fellow mylotter, but i don't actually care for it. Why should we be bothered if the other person does not want to reveal his/ her identity or gender.

I have never questioned anyone. I have been questioned though quite a few times. My profile even says I am a female. I also put my picture on here. Then I made a post about it awhile back. The crazy part is I went to school with other females that had the name Shawn. My real name is Shaunee I just put the first part of my name Shaun as my user name.I thought that they way my name is spelled it would sound more female but I found out the hard way I was wrong.
