Close relationship with family member

I have always been close with my mom, my brother and my sister but im not that close with my dad because he wasnt there much for me growing up but i still respect him as a person and as my father. I am just not as close with him like i am the rest of my family. My step dad is great and has been there for me and my kids since he came into my moms life. I was just wondering if anyone else has close relationships with their family as well?
