I know that David Coverdale of Whitesnake sang in Deep Purple in 1973-1976 basically in the pre-whitesnake era... Can you name me any Deep Purple songsa that he snag before he left

He sang all the songs on the "Burn" album- He also was on "Made In Europe" and I think "Come Taste The Band" although I could be mistaken on that one. Songs include Burn, Lady Double Dealer, Mistreated, You Fool No One.

I can proudly say I've been a dedicated rocker for over 38 years. My motto is "If it's too loud you're too old" and when I die, my headstone will likely say "You can turn it down now". I listen to old rock, new rock, hard rock/metal; as long as it rocks, y'know?

In addition to the albums mentioned, there are several live compilation albums, including Live in London, which has some interesting versions of Highway Star & Smoke on the water, I also recommend the video California Jam where you can see an obviously green Coverdale in his early days with Purple. Also Wings of a Russian Foxbat is worth a look for historical purposes
