If anyone here in America want ANWR to be open up for oil drilling we are going to have to sell Alaska back to Russia. McCain and Obama have both been on the record as saying that over their dead body will they allow one drop of oil to be drilled in ANWR. Trust me if Russia had Alaska oil would be pouring out of Alaska.
Maybe we need to give up our coastal water to Cuba. Cuba will start drilling for off their coast. Is there away Cuba can drill safely and we cannot?

Maybe Russia would be stupid enough to spend the amount of money it would take not to even mention the damage to the environment for oil that would take at least ten years to get and which would last approximately six months and lower the price of gas by 4 cents per gallon.

Since you are such an expert on the matter, perhaps you would provide the spreadsheets with your findings, plus your corroborating data, and your credentials for making such an amazing claim.
It also might interest you to know that the oil companies would be the ones financing the drilling, with the costs eventually passed on to the consumers, and per normal market policies.
As to the so called environmental damage, perhaps you could provide your latest assessment, or are you just using party talking points that don't mean a thing as usual.

Poor Annie maybe you can explain this to me. Senator Chuck Schumer claims that coercing Saudi Arabia to increase oil production by 1 million barrels a day would drop the per barrel price by $25, saving Americans 62 cent per gallon at the gas pump. Yet, you believe that same amount of oil coming from ANWR would only ease gas by 4 cents. Our you smarter than Chucky.

Me an expert? How could that possibly be when I'm surrounded by so many know-it-alls! I got the above information on the holy Fox News Network, on the Hannity and Colmes Show, no less, so I didn't think anything more needed to be said. By the way, is there any such thing as having a civil discussion here and allowing everyone to state their opinions without the personal attacks that belong on the school playground?

McCain is just another liberal.
The thing is that he is slightly less liberal then most of the democrats, and therefore has no real use for business and cares more about environmental agendas that have no real purpose other than ensuring we pay higher gas prices then necessary.... and regulating business so tightly in the name of environmental activism that it cannot function normally in a supposed free market economy.
Congress is the reason gas prices are so high.
