I'm new here, so I'm just learning the whole mylot thing. While I'm finding it fun, I'm also finding it all rather confusing. I was looking at this as a way to make money, (and I cheerfully see I've made a whole 11 cents today, whoopee!) and truthfully don't know how that would work by posting messages about everything under the sun! LOL Don't get me wrong, I love what I'm reading, but I'm also rather amused as well. How on earth can me responding to a discussion on whether or not I prefer salt or pepper earn me money? LOL Maybe some of you long-timers can clue me into how this is really gonna work?

The more active you are the more you can earn. By posting a quality response to any discussion you will earn. It doesn't matter what the topic is, it is about how you respond. I just respond to anything that catches my interest. So if something catches your eye put up a quality response and you will earn from it. Quality over quantity.

I'm also new on here on mylot. I think it's to try and get the word out about mylot.....I've heard it's suppose to be kinda like myspace but you get paid and you have discussions on here.

Welcome to myLot! I see you're learning fast how people will talk about anything and everything. I've been here for close to two years and I'm still amazed now and then by some of the trivial discussions that are posted but sometimes these discussions get more responses than anything else. Just post away and enjoy yourself. Make lots of friends and add a lot of different interests and you'll do great!

I think that if you look at MyLot only as a place to make some money then you will be disappointed. if you look at it as a place to chat and waste some time and maybe even make a few friends and the money will be a bonus when you get paid then you will be much happier. Like a message board with a small bonus you know what i mean? Welcome again and good luck to you.

Thanks for replying. Yes I have been trying to find work from home jobs, and this is one that was suggested. Why, I'm not sure. While I do find it fun and the added bonus of being paid for posts is nice, it isn't going to be a regular income like I need. But hey, friends are good too. :)

TessWhite Welcome to MYLOT. Yes it is fun and confusing but what I do is to post and responds to discussions I can learn from. There are some discussions that deserve the trash can but there are persons who love the simple thing of life. I prefer the complex one that makes one brain tick. So what you can do is choose the interest that you will find enjoyable to you.

Thanks Kerry. I did have one discussion I found gave me something to think about. Was much more indepth than salt vs. pepper. LOL I'll just have to muddle my way thru and see what I wish to respond to. For someone who is more used to yahoo, this is a different ballgame.

My lot sure is a place where you can be drawn in and find an array of topics. Some post are very simple and some are deep . I think you made more the better the post is. I think you only make one cent if you have more than 3 lines . I rememeber my first day I answered everything and sometimes with just a few words, and made nothing . Here on the lot you will learn as you go . You always can search and find many useful tips.
