The New York Yankees lost big to the Oakland A's tonight by the score of 8 to 4. Darrel Rasner who had been impressive in his other starts this year, was drubbed for 6 runs in 3 and two thirds innings. They Yankees tried to come back in the top of the ninth but could only score three as Robinson Cano ended the inning. Jason Giambi continued his hot hitting by going 2 for 4 with a home run.
