Dogs vs Cats....????

I don't know, I've had both, and had them at the same time. They both bring something positive to the table I suppose. A cat isn't as bad at demanding attention as a dog, they kind of want to love on you when they want too. And a dog, well when you need comfort all you have to do is call them and they're there in a jiffy to love on you and try to cheer you up.
