Wow, that sounds like she's not having a good reaction to the shot. Have you/she talked to the doctor about it? I was on the Depo for about two years and one of my daughters is on it now. We've had no problems with it but I've heard different stories. I don't have any suggestions for another form of b/c except for the Pill, which I took off and on for years. I do have a suggestion for one thing that she should not try though. I have seen commercials lately for the new and improved IUD device. If your daughter has ever had any problems with cramping and bleeding, do not try this. I can remember friends curled up on the floor, they were in so much pain and they had very bloody periods. I've been on depo for 2 years now and havent experienced that! Actually as the doctor had predicted it stopped my period all together (I love that side effect). I havent had any issues with the shot at all. I had a friend who had the same reaction as your daughter to the shot however and she stopped taking it as well going back to the standard pill.
