What happened to Greg? My son and I watch the show mornings on the Disney Channel, and even in the new episodes Greg is there. But when they were touring and came to an arena near us, he was not there, and Sam was in his place. So what's the deal? Did Greg leave, or is he just not doing the tour? I really like Greg. I haven't seen Sam because he's not on any of the shows or videos we have. Anyone know the story here?

Sam has been touring with them for quite some time, However, he has only just started staring in the TV shows here (AUS). I believe that Greg has stopped performing but he still has a creative role. I could be wrong on the that but I vaguely recall hearing it somewhere. It must have been 12mths I think, maybe more, since Sam started performing. I remember Greg got sick and some shows were canceled till they found Sam but it is all sketchy. I am not really a fan however they regularly make the news here so eventually some of it sinks in!

Thanks, it's nice to hear that Greg is still involved. My son LOVES the Wiggles. He gets up and dances along with them, and he enjoys just as much when I just play an audio CD for him to listen to. I like them, too. Their songs are pretty catchy. Are they located near you?

I didn't know that. I think it's good they changed their name- 'wiggles' are more appealing!

yes they are very catchy songs and very clever musicians. I can still remember my brother first getting them on cassette! It was called "Wiggly Woo" No they are not near me at all. I don't think they have even been to where I live! I would certainly go and see them if they came. They are after all my country's highest earning musicians. Did you know before the Wiggles they were known as the Cockroaches?

The story is that Greg has given up on being a travelling Wiggle - although i'm not even sure if he's going to be doing it at all any more. Basically, Greg has a medical condition that makes him unable to sing & dance on the stage - he becomes light headed & has collapsed because of it. I'm not really sure what the medical condition is but as far as i heard (before they replaced him with Sam) this disorder is that if he's on his feet - his body cant circulate the blood around, which then causes him to collapse due to lack of circulation. You can probably find some information on it somewhere - maybe a Wiggles website or something like that. I do think that Sam is a full time replacement though because we bought a DVD for our daughter not long ago - it was a nursery rhyme one & Greg isn't in there anywhere, it's only Sam. I can only assume that Greg has had to give away his career in performing due to his condition. I hope that helps some!

Thanks, that explains it. That's too bad, Greg was good. I guess the 'new' episodes of the Wiggles Show are not as new as I thought. How do you and your daughter like Sam?
