Hi. Welcome to myLot. Yeah it is getting worse everyday and its either we change our daily diet to accommodate more for viand or other alternatives to rice like corn and potatoes. I know it would be a very difficult change in the way we live but if this rate of rice price goes on and up we dont have any other choice. Otherwise there would be a war or something like that because the very foundation on how we live and eat are threatened and its kinda like survival of the fittest. It is quite ironic too that an Agricultural country is the one importing tonnes and tonnes of rice from other countries just to have enough supply of rice for everybody. Im not sure but I heard something in the news that rice has gone up to P50..??Im not really sure but I think they said it will be lower than that but still P50 is already quite expensive, it might be lower than that but its twice the price of rice a few years back.

Rice is a staple food for most of us Filipinos. It is so unfortunate that the price of commercial rice is almost not affordable for most of us. A lot of Filipinos now buy the NFA rice which has lesser quality. I do hope that the government can do something about this crisis.
