how terrible had happen to Ces Drilon a newscaster here in the philippines who happen to be a good newscaster and was assigned to cover a news about the terrorist in Mindanao. But fortunately she's been kidnapped and the terrorists asked for a ransom. Sad to note that the station would give ransom.. what do you think about this? do you care for Ces Drilon and other reporters come into this situation?

I do care about her and other newscasters as well... the fact that they risk their own lives just to know the real story behind every news... That is SOMETHING! God bless all of the newscasters here and elsewhere

It's sad that something like this should happen. However, it seems that Ces Drilon, a seasoned journalist, got a taste of her own medicine. Not that I am happy about what happened to her and her companions. It's just that she knew all along how risky it is to be in that area and yet, she went there. Okay, maybe it was for a news report that she wanted to deliver or something. But, I guess, she should have consulted with the PNP and the AFP about her plans. Apparently, the two agencies did not know about her plans and this was confirmed by ARMM Regional Director Gen. Joel Goltiao.

I think this particular kidnapping is trivial and should be ignored. Ces is known for biased, sensationalized journalism and she deserves what happened to her if this kidnapping is true. I think she even deserves worse. Also, if her kidnapping is true, this is the one time i could say: GOOD JOB ABU SAYYAF!

Ces Drilon is not a New Newcaster. I don't think so that the government or ABS-CBN will give some ransom, they were going to negotiate with the terrorist.

I think she was careless and her acts jeopardized her and her team. For an experienced reporter she knew the risks involved - she has covered many stories about rebels; but still she didn't coordinate with the local government for any police escort. She knows it's a dangerous place and a dangerous assignment, she should have known better.
