What do you buy as a present for an English family you still don't know but are going to live with for a month?

Try to have a brief research about the family... ask their neighbors or friends for you to know their likes and dislikes. If they love gardening for example, you can give them some new gardening tools or a plant. I hope my suggestion helps you even a little bit. God bless you

I don't know what would be acceptable but I had a fried from England and she always bought chocolate for the kids and crystal for me. Her name was Karen and we met her in Germany. She would stay with our family when she was in town for business. She was greatful for the free room and board so she spoiled us with small but terrific gifts to express her appreciation for us allowing her to stay in our home. She was a terrific lady.
