I don't know what would be acceptable but I had a fried from England and she always bought chocolate for the kids and crystal for me. Her name was Karen and we met her in Germany. She would stay with our family when she was in town for business. She was greatful for the free room and board so she spoiled us with small but terrific gifts to express her appreciation for us allowing her to stay in our home. She was a terrific lady.
