He had left his mobile phone, so he goes back to get it and gets arrested!!! hahaha A thick thief was caught by police after leaving his mobile phone at a house he had burgled – then going back to ask for it back. Homeowner Peter Diamond couldn’t believe his eyes when moments after discovering he had been burgled he heard a shout from his garden. There stood Stuart Gardner, 30, who had left Mr Diamond’s home empty-handed after rifling through drawers and cupboards, calling out: "I'm the person who broke in. Can I have my mobile phone back?" Retired magician Mr Diamond, 74, from Preston, Lancs, said: "I couldn't believe his cheek. He had some front to come back." Police later arrested him after he came out of another house having just burgled it. With a rucksack full of stolen property on his back, he could hardly claim his innocence!! He was jailed for 3 years and 3 months after pleading guilty to 3 burglaries and one offence of theft.
