Going back to school after 19 years.

I have joined friend reunited and have had the 'fond memories' from my school years. Though I dont use it much now, I tend to use facebook where I can chat to family, friends, old colleagues and old school friends. Its nice catching up and finding out how everyone is and what they are now doing in life especially when they take a different path to the one they thought they would years ago!!! Hope you enjoy catching up with all your old school mates.

I have been on the sites in the past and did enjoy some giggles at the memories brought back but never really got in touch with anyone through these sites! I do still see some school friends which is nice for me! xxx

Hi gemini, I have met several school mates already in High School with one of those sites and it's indeed amazing, we've never meet for so long and now we are on contact and can give details about our lives and other people whom me know. Although it will be hard for us to meet in person since we are all far from each other, but I am glad that I met them online! Most of the time, we could hardly recognize, a lot of physical changes already!

I am still best friends with the girl I met on my very first day of primary school age five and we are both 45 now and the friendship is as strong as it ever was even though we live different ends of the country, but anyone else from school if I am not in contact with now I really don't want to be. The reunions they do are usually to see who has achieved etc and still the same old b*tching from things I have heard from people that have attended them but the sites themselves if you genuinely want to catch up with someone I think are great. Yes Rose..we both belonged to Friends reunited..and did indeed make conact with a few people that we hadnt heard from for a very long time...but then we chose not to renew our membership..we decided it wasnt really worth it for us..but ive not long received an email saying that the membership to this site is free now...it was from the site..but i havent looked into it yet..maybe there is a catch!!..but good luck with yours..

I use Facebook - it is fun and free. Some of the others you have to pay for. Facebook is good as pretty much everyone computer literate is on there!

i joined friendster years ago. just like you, it was just out of curiousity. i wasn't so interested in even editing my profile. but days after, i got invitations to be friends with them. and to my surprise, they were those who had been my classmates during my elementary, highschool and college years. even people i haven't been really close to like schoolmates, neighbors and just someone i know by face. what's funny is when you can't even recognize their faces anymore... going through so many changes along the years. and it was just throough friendster where my classmates in elementary decided to have a reunion after 12 years. the reunion was really fun and we're planning to do it again some other time. it's also through friendster where i met my bestfriend in highschool once again. so, it's fun to join such sites. getting in touch with people and being connected with them even when you're too far away from them and even through the years. anne

Yes I joined one a couple of years ago and put my name down next to my school and years that I was there, it was good seeing some familiar names there already, but it surprised me how man names I remembered but couldn't remember the faces...its a fun thing to do joinng a site like that.

Hello dear gemini_rose. I hope that you will be lucky enough to get in touch with your old school friends from the site. I have not been able to be in touch with my old school friends for many years as we are all scattered in different areas of the country.

i joined classmates.com.. found a few people that when i was young, were my everything in the world. weve gotten back in touch.. speak occaisionally.. we are friends yes.. but it isnt the close close relationship we had back then. i dont think you really can ever "go home again" warning.. if classmates is the one you joined.. be careful, they have a habit of making charges to yer credit card without authorizations. i wound up having to report my card stolen.. have it canceled, and go through alla that crap in order to get them to stop stealing money from me.

During the third year of my university life,about seven years ago,internet surfing became very popular.One of my university classmates built our alumni record on internet.And almost all of my classmates joined this site,of course I did so.Then I found that some of my high school classmates had built an alumni record on the internet,too.I joined all of the alumni records,and kept touch with my friends through them.They are so important for me,I think.
