Ok I thought maybe I have seen it all but just a while ago I can across an article. About a unicorn deer. Here is the link if you want to read the story. http://news.aol.com/story/_a/unicorn-deer-found-in-italy/20080611173709990001 So it got me to thinking about myths. Unicorns are one of those supposed myths. What if in reality Unicorns were always deers that was born with one horn. A few years back fossils were found of what researchers believe is a fairy and near that fossel they found a man's bone who they have given the name of a hobbit, because of its size. So I started wondering what other myths could be true. How many things on this earth really exist that we have no clue of? What do you think? Do you think stories of Bigfoot, and other creatures of myth could be based in some part in reality? I believe all stories have some type of truth in it. I love to read, and find that even fiction can mirror the truth, I believe anything is possible. After all some fishermen did catch a fish that was suppose to be extinct for over 2 million years. So I believe that anything is possible, the world is a big huge place.

I wouldnt exactly believe it is a unicorn because a unicorn is percieved as something that is mystical and beautiful. One horned deers are not exactly impossible but that doesnt make them unicorns either. It can be possibly just a mutation of a single deer. It can be just like how the Dugong might possibly be mistaken for a mermaid

That was kind of my point, there are things out in nature that happens that now we have explainations for but at one time there wasn't any for it. So I think its possible that the stories of Unicorns came from mutated deer. Now I got to go check out what Dugong is.

From what I know unicorn are horses with a single horn. But this is a deer which this could mean an anomaly or genetic aberration that happened. What I want to see is a real horse with a single horn. That is I think an amazing sight to watch.

I would love to see that myself. But I also am logical and so I think that it is possible that the legends came from genetic mutations. It is a possiblity.
