the current job market situation for college graduates

it seems more and more difficult for college graduates to find jobs and most of us graduating students are shouldering a lot of pressure. how would you account for this phenomenon ? what possible suggestions could you offer ?
are you a graduatiing university students and in that case what would you do to prepare yourself for the changing market ?
