I know of one case where that was done in Iceland. The woman had 4 or 5 children, all with different men and they had all been taking away from her because she was abusive, neglected them and had some serious mental problems. She got furious when she was ordered to have her tubes tied and tried to get the media to feel sorry for her. I had the "priviledge" of working at the same place as this woman a few years later and there was no doubt in my mind that the doctors had done the right thing. She was in no way capable of having children.

Of course NO! I think abuse and neglect are the worst things mother can do to her children.

Precious Child - Precious Child
Absolutely not!!!! I hate hearing that someone who can't take care of their children keep having them. Children are too precious to have to be going through the many things that they are put through.

NO! There is one woman I know of in a small town who was convicted of abuse and neglect, she had another baby. Social services monitored her during her pregnancy and and a judge ordered her to take parenting classes, etc. Childrens' Protective Services came to her home every day. She lost custody of this baby at the first sign of "failure to thrive syndrome" and has never given birth since then.
