Have You seen those Youtube videos about the explosive reaction that occurs when you combine Mentos Sweets and Coke? "New Scientist" looked into it..

I have tried it, actually. I thought it would make a great experiment for my 12 year old daughter last summer on a boring day. So we loaded up on diet soda and mentos and made a mess. We had a lot of fun with it. I've even been thinking about designing a cap to drop the mentos and get maximum pressure for more height....lol. Give it a try, it's fun. Use diet soda, by the way.

I've never tried this myself,but I'd seen one of the Youtube vids of a guy who tried it on himself,eating the mints and drinking the cola..I don't know if it was for real,but the comments below indicated He was hospitalised having injured his stomach..

I never try it before,
but my friend did.
Of course the result is same as the video.
That's something involved in surface tension.

That's interesting. I'd better not tell my husband about tis one, or he might try it. He's the "mad scientist" type of person who absolutely loves doing crazy stuf like that. LOL He's probably blow the place up. haha
