Today is my last day at this job. I am really going to miss it but have been offered a better position. Today has been a bittersweet day. Yesterday there was a party for three of us leaving. Since I turned in my notice, 10 others have followed. I feel awful! It isn't me just money.
My question for everybody, have you ever given notice at a job and finished it out? How did that last day feel?

I did resign from my previous work not because of another offer but instead I need to concentrate on my upcoming IELTS examination. My last day was very difficult for me... especially that it was my first job also. I did savor all the remaining minutes there... Taking some pictures with my co-workers and eating a lot in our cafeteria LOL :)) Oh dear... I still miss them so much specially as i am typing this response. SIGH...SIGH... God bless us and my old co-workers where ever they may be.

I am so happy seeing that mine was considered as the best response here. I am honored knowing that. I hope to read responses from you someday on my postings as well... If you just have even a little bit of time. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart... You made me smile thats for sure!

When I moved to the south I left a job I had had for almost 8 years where I was close to about 30 people. We were like a big family and giving my notice was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. They had a going away party for me, too, and it was happy and sad at the same time. You can't pass up a good opportunity though, not in these tough times.
