Ways of dealing with depression and stress

Alot of people are depressed on a daily basis and many of them are also stressed. Does anyone have any ideas about how to deal with depression and stress without pills?

its not advisable to a depress person to stay alone, it needs to have a new surroundings, mingle with friends, family, relatives. make your self be very busy and not so much to think of the problems.

the best thing to do is the mingle to your frineds make busy of your self, go some places that wont remind to make you depress. dont go alone, always with accompanied with friends, family or relatives.

If you have someone that you can talk to, that helps a lot. I also have a shoebox full of pictures and mementos that also help me lift my spirits.

A great way to deal with stress and depression is to force yourself to every day have some "me" time, even if you have to hide in the bathroom to get it. Sit, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Try clearing your mind of everything that is stressing you. Let your mind wander and try not to stay on one thought very long, just let it wander from thought to thought. Keep breathing deeply, with long exhales. This will force the body and the brain to relax, somewhat like self-hypnosis. Try to remember that some things in Life are out of your control and worry only about the things that you can control :)
