Fasting is not the new thing, Most of the Profets ordered their followers to practice the fasting. Being a Muslim we fasting 30 days in a particular month of Islamic Year called "Ramadan". Fasting, Philosophy: The main philosophy of fasting is to feel the hunger of poor people when they do not find the food all the day. What they feel, Through fasting we feel their pain and be ready to help them all time.

I agree with ur suggestion, the people should observe fasting to keep them healthy and more strenthen their digestive system, Infact many scientific benefits are also associate with the fasting we observe in a particular month. All should observe the fasting to keep them smart and healthy as well as to keep away the different Diseases that cause due to the over eating or due to the unbalance diet.

Hi Juhi I like to have food and does not like fasting. But some times I may feel not to eat and then I will skip a meal and I think that will help. If you don't feel like eating anything, means your digestive system needs some rest. Fasting for an entire day is good for our health. During the time you can have liquid food like vegitable juice, fruit juices, water etc. This will clean up your entire body. Fasting will increase metabolism and restore the immune system. it will detoxify the intestine. Those who have diseases like diabetes should not fast.

Hello, juhi! Fasting a day in a month is of utmost help to our body.we are filling our stomach with varieties of foods daily and the stomach is engaged restlessly for digestion.and to give rest to the digestive system and to clear the toxin one day fasting is beneficial.it is accepted by medical science.so you decide the day of your fasting and plan your foods accordingly.normally i am not fasting.but in every week i am going without dinner. thanx.

hi bbsr thanks for responding to the discussion ,but am sorry for the delayed comment.well physiologically it is definitely helpful and to maintain the metabolic activity.how and when we do it is really not important.but if someone does it religiously it adds value to it.

yeah observing a fast is good at least on two counts. one it saves some food, and if taken on a national scale it is a big saving. two it is useful for maintaining better body physiology and metabolism.and if religious sentiments are also satisfied nothing like that.
