The very first time you get hit! Once one hits the chances are great that they shall hit again. This is said from experience if you think you can change him/her I will make a bet you can't. I thought that way and all I ended up with was a bunch of bruises and a very low self esteem. If it has happened once you should leave. Good Luck

Battered don't always mean being hit in the physical, it could mean mentally. If someone makes you feel like you are not worth much, you can't be happy, and the list can go on. then you know. If you are so miserable you can't stand yourself or life, then something needs to change. And change is hard, but it can be done. The change comes in many forms, but if you are in danger or the person just feeds off making others feel less than a person, then it's time to leave. That can be the hardest part, but can be done. You have to be careful not to fall in the other person's trap thou. Once they see you have had enough and are going to leave, the will promise to change and be better. They do for a short period, then it goes back to the same ole routine or maybe even worse than before. Once you leave and get completely free from that person, you will feel free! You will be able to start living life and enjoying it!
