"Everyone brings some stock with him when he is born. The impressions from past lives come along with us. We do not start from nothingness; we start from something that is already with us, and the tendency is to grow in that same direction. Those impressions have their their own power and are attracted to their own kind of atmosphere."Do you agree with this quote?

I brought the fruits of the deeds both good and bad which i had done in my past lives. In my past lives i had done some bad deeds for which i am suffering in this life. However in one of my past lives i was a yogi and i had reached a high level. Therefore in this life i automatically came on the same path and amprogressing nicely towards final liberation from births and deaths.

I don't agree with that quote because I don't believe that everyone is reincarnated. Like I read from others, I agree that we get impressions as we are raised, because the people around us write on the slate of who we are. But, not to get off the subject I also believe we have been born for a purpose, and that purpose comes from God, by creating us we didn't come from nothingness, we come from the Almighty Creator. I just wonder where that quote came from. I never heard it before. Take care.

I agree curious, from the moment we were born, our mind is not empty as well as our heart! We were nurtured by our parents love through the cell or food or whatever I believe and this will continue to grow within us as we start to embrace life!

Hi curious, This is a very interesting quote, and only those who believe that we've had past lives will agree with it. Personally, I think that reincarnation is probably true, and maybe we do bring certain inclinations. Why else would a child of three years be able to sit at a piano and play tunes that he had never heard in this lifetime? On the other hand it is said that a curtain is drawn, so that we will not remember. Blessings.
