I've been thinking about getting Wii Fit. My friends that have it say it's a lot of fun. The problem is finding a Wii Fit is just as hard as finding a Wii. My husband and I just lucked up when we found our Wii. Target only had 9 in stock when we called about them so we ran right down there to get one. Does anyone play Wii Fit? If so do you like it? And is Wii Fit just as hard to find where you live as it is where I live?

Despite its moniker, Wii Fit isn't a total fitness solution, with its included exercises focusing more on improving muscle tone and balance than on cardio and weight loss. What it does offer is a better way to track your weight, body mass index (BMI), and time spent exercising both within the game itself and from any other external activities, giving users a clearer picture of how their health is progressing over time. It's no more going to make you super-fit than Wii Sports is going to make you a tennis pro, but it can provide a strong anchor for a more expansive fitness regime should you have the motivation.

I didn't really know there was a difference. but come to think about it, i guess the Wii Fit comes with the 'board' that allow people to do more 'exercises' on it. I assumed that every Wii came with that , but i suppose it has only been recently that I"ve heard more about the Fitness aspect. i think that is great marketing! over here in singapore wiis are very easily available but very expensive. about 500 USD at least!

I have ordered a wii fit in April but not supposed to be getting it until October when they get more in stock, so quite a long time till I get one. Also took me a while to get a wii too. I waited about 3 months for that to come. I live in the UK.

I haven't played it nor seen it at any stores. It's a little pricey, in my book. I can imagine ebay sellers are trying to make a profit off of them.

I just recently purchased Wii Fit and I love it. Since I am such a gamer it help me out a lot just to be able to turn my system on and see where I am at. Then on top of that I am able to chose from a variety of different exercises and games. I can't say anything bad about Wii Fit honestly, the only thing is that the user has to be honest. There are some things that you can easily cheat on, so there is nothing to force you to actually do the exercises except maybe seeing your weight rise on a daily basis. Thinking about it there is one thing I have a problem with and that is the running game, it always tells you to keep a steady pace, which shouldn't be hard right? Not the case at all. You set the Wii Remote in you pocket and jog, but for some reason it is very spotty on picking up your running. Often time you will be jogging and your Mii just end up standing there. Thats really the only problem in my oppinion. As for finding the Wii Fit well I just barely did. I was at my local GameStop and asked if they had it (I know a lot of people don't care for GameStop, but the one near my house has a lot of great employees). The employee at the counter looked at me and was like whats that and started laughing, and for obvious reasons. Why should I expect there to be any left. But like I said they are normally pretty good by where I live, so they told me that target had just got some in stock. So of course I ran right over and got one. All in all I honestly really enjoy my Wii Fit and it is doing what it was meant to do, it is making me more health concious.

I love the Wii Fit. It really does work you. I was skeptical at first that I could actually get a workout, but it proved me wrong. The one disadvantage it has is that you cannot customize workouts. It does track your weight and BMI and makes you set goals which is cool. Sometimes it makes it easier to achieve if you are reaching for something. You can choose from a male or female trainer and there are four areas of training you can do. It has a sense of humor too and once told me that balance was not my forte and asked if I tripped a lot when walking. It says a lot of funny things like that but also provides you with a lot of useful information about health, exercise and balance. I had to get mine offline because all the stores were sold out. It was expensive, but so far I think it is worth it.
