Few years ago I had this weird book. I forgot the title but I think that it's meaningless here. Your target there was to decide what will your character do (just like in some kind of game). For example: Our hero has spoted someone. He hide himself quickly in the bushes next to him. When this person is coming closer our hero realises that it's a woman. -I'm leaving the bushes and then I say: "Hi cutie" - paragraph 63 -I'm staying in the bushes and I am observing her - paragraph 168 After choosing the option you jump to the certain paragraph as you can see and there's the next part of the story that include your choice. What do you think of this kind of book? Have you readed any of them? Share with us.

Yes, they're called Choose Your Own Adventures. They were really big back in the 80's I think..maybe the 90's. I had a bunch of them, and since I've kept every book I've ever gotten, they're still around some where. Most of them I had gotten when we had moved when I was 10 (15 years ago) and the people who lived there before us left a huge box full of books. The most memorable one was something about a witch. I can even somewhat remember the title. The Witch of Black Rock Castle, or something like that. The illustration on the front cover was of a scary looking woman with a huge chin. Remember on Sesame Street, the character that had a thrift store or something next to Big Bird's nest? She's always freaked me out since I read that book because of that tragic chin.

I remember that my interactive book was called something like iron/steel rat... I don't really know. I even found the series of the steel rat in the net, but I don't know if it's the same. I remember that it had a motorcycle man on the bike in the illustration.

Edit: After posting, I got curious and found a list of titles. The book I mentioned was called The Mystery of Chimney Rock. Lol, not quite close.

I remember those books! My nephews all loved them and would share them back and forth until the books were rather tattered. My sister, who is the librarian in their small town, always made sure she had all the most recent "choose your own" books on the shelves for kids who enjoyed them.

so you mean like, the book would have a different plot based on the choices you make? that could be really cool. especially because you could read the book again and actually find a different story in it. you would always be suprised when you finished it.

Are interactive books known as audiobooks or E-Books?
