My 15 month old daughter has asthma, and it kills me to have to give her all those treatments whenever she gets a cold or when it's a change of season. What do other parents do to avoid having to give so many treatments?

Hi there. My Niece has got asthma and she is nearly 3 and if she gets sick then that is just it and her asthma goes down hill like mad and she has to land up in the Hospital to get it back under control cos the House she lives in is not warm enough for her and/or she's gone to Kindy and she has caught a bug or something and it has set her asthma off and possibly it may have at the same time set off her Epilepsy. We know when she is getting sick and we just have to do our best until it is just not worth doing it ourselves and then going to get the Dr's help for her. Catch ya later pretty_babe

My 21 month old son also have asthma. His pedia said he got it from me because i also have asthma. The same with you, when the season changes, here comes his attack but I'm quite lucky because its not that severe. But he has preventive medications. He drink cingulair (this is for maintenance). You can also try baby haler! Have a nice day!

I don't have a child with asthma, but I myself had it as a child. Yes, I know what your little girl is going through. Oh, I suffered many cold winters hooked up to a breathing machine or sucking from an inhailer. I suppose the thing that helped me to feel comfortable was...spicy foods. As odd as that sounds, it really helps. There's something about the heat of the spice that's a comfort. Hopefully, after she grows older and moves away, she'll grow out of her asthma. That's what happened with me. There was something around my parent's house that kept me sick all those years.
