There's a storm rolling in! Severe weather alerts for wind and hail! We'll see.

I'm not a fan of storms, but I could hear the wind blowing when before it hadn't been. I looked out to see ominous gray skies north of us, so I ran out to roll up my windows and shut the sunroof. I could hear the rolling thunder, although I couldn't see the lightning. Hurried to feed the cats because once it hits, I'm not going outside again.
Now, I'm online trying to learn more and our local news channel says "13 weather alerts" for our area! That sounds more ominous than the storm looked, so I click on the link and I get a blank screen with Severe Alerts as the heading. I reload - nothing. I pull up our local zipcode, and get the same alerts, but still nothing loads. Sheesh!
Finally, I go to weather.com to see what's up. Finally - a severe Thunderstorm warning for Philadelphia, the north end of our county in NJ plus the two counties north of us. Even though I don't much care for storms, I do hope we get something out of this one - it will help break the heat. It's already 10 degrees cooler. And a little rain (not like Iowa, etc) is always a good thing.
But, so far, no storm - distant thunder, yes. Wind, no. Rain, no. I even got a call from someone where it's supposed to be centered who wouldn't have called if it were storming. So, maybe this one is "all talk, no action"? We shall see - I do like rain, so I hope something happens.

All talk, no action. That pretty much sums up the weather talk around here as well. Today and tonight..severe thunderstorms. So far, it got really windy with dark clouds but very very little rain and no lighting/thunder at all. We are also under a severe thunderstorm watch that first expired at 11:30 am and now it's expiring at 7pm. Whoever is suppose to be predicting the weather needs a new job cause he/she isn't doing a very good job at it.

They don't do too bad, but the storms always seem to hit a bump when they get here and move north after they've told us they'll be here. Once in a while, they go south of us. But, for some strange reason, we got so much rain during the night, it woke me. Never heard rain that could wake me up before!

Well I had to shut down my computer for about four hours as we did have a bad storm here..so gone were my plans to write some articles, in my novel, and mylot..wahhhhh.....anyway, took advantage of that time and did more cleaning up around here.
Did you finally get the storm and rain?

Nope - that storm passed to the north of us after tossing its threats around (you apparently got it) and then, sometime during the night, a deluge of water came pouring down that was so loud it woke me up! No thunder, no lightning, just really hard and heavy rain. So, yes - we did get the rain!! Yay!
