I have Roadrunner at my home. And I want a laptop that will sit upon my lap. Plus I want one that the battery lasts productive in. What kind of wireless laptop do I need in order to access the Internet.. What type of Windows and operating system do I need? Which laptop works for you while here on myLot?

Hi, cream! While replying to your discussion, I'm using my Acer Travelmate laptop model 3212NWXCi (
haha, sorry for going into too much detail...the details is right in front of me now, and I just can't resist typing it!). So, my model works replying on mylot. I remember going on Ebay and seeing some really cool mini-sized laptops that were quite cheap. Although the HDD only has a small capacity of storage (4GB only I think), it should be handy though to bring around and also to put on your lap. Not sure about whether it's suitable to surf on mylot though....I guess you'll need to do some homework if you really want to get a laptop....

I just got last year a new Sony Vaio VGN-230 laptop. It is white and silver with a 17" screen and I love it. Everyone tried to convince me to get the smallest screen like 13" or something close to that but I figured for the amount of reading and writing and web surfing I do on the laptop, I would be wearing glasses if I used a screen that tiny. My friend has a Dell laptop, I do not the model or any specific info but hers is also really nice and comfortable to place on your lap. There are so many features an different manufacturers out there that if I were you I would do some research to find what you like an dthen call up the company and explain what you will be mostly using the laptop for and most companies will custom make laptops that contain the features that you like, and the operating system and programs that are best for what youintend on using it for. Try Dell, Gateway, and Sony for starters, unless you are more interested in a MAC PC, which if you are, the MAC Air is awesome. Hope this helps you out!

I have an Acer Aspire 3680. When my husband bought this, it comes with Windows Vista and a webcam. So far, I haven't experienced any problem with my Vista. My only problem is more on connection. My broadband is really slow. But slow connection or not, nothing can stop me from myLotting.

Lenovo x60s. It's small, light, the battery lasts a long time and you can get an extended life battery for it. I don't have a Windows system running on it, but that was something that I decided on my own.

I use an HP Pavilion. It has Windows Vista, but SO FAR I have not ran into the problems that everyone is complaining about. The layout of Vista is just a bit weird and complicated, and I have to dig through the computer to find anything. I am always unplugging my laptop to go to the kitchen and help out, or if I want to watch TV in the living room and I am a bit too lazy to bring the charger in their with me. It fits well on my lap, either if I have my legs straight, crossed, or if I am sitting on one of them.
