I was stunned when I saw this story on the News channels today. Three 16-year old were killed when they were drunk and speeding in a car on the highway. In another gruesome reminder of what drunken driving can do, three teenagers died on Saturday after their car turned turtle thrice over before smashing into a divider on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. The full story is here: http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story.aspx?id=NEWEN20080053087&ch=6/15/2008%209:04:00%20AM This is a grim reminder that drinking and driving is never good, drinking itself is never good and at 16 years its the most dangerous thing! I hope other children who are underage never drink and also if you are under 18 and dont have a license dont drive.

Yup - the parents do have a role to play too. Thanks for bringing in that aspect. Unfortunately this is NOT a good story for anyone at all. I don't know why you thought of it as a good story for me. It was shocking news for me.

Teenagers nowadays are so irresponsible.Last year on Christmas,a teen stole his dad's car and crashed it into a store during a joyride.Sometimes it is the parents fault as they are too lenient with the way they punish their children or spoiling them.I wish parents could realize this as it is not good for both them and the children.

somehow teaching the teenagers what is right and what is cool but not necessarily right is not easy. parents find it tough and when they dont spend quality time with the children its even worse.

it's a very tragic and sad story. I felt sorry for the people they have left behind.

Oh. it is really sad. Nowadays, more and more news of people dying and all makes life really miserable. Yes, it is parents responsibility or else whose ? Parents have to see that their kids are safe. They should see to that what they r doing and never give them vehicles at this young age. Kids having all the luxury like car, money etc would really try to experiment with things they could buy with money. Such kids would never hesitate to take risks like speeding etc to show off to their friends. Parents have to make sure their kids are safe and teach them the value of safety and how life is precious.

yes i agree with you, drunk driving is very dangerous, I have seen many people losing their lives because of this evil. I strongly suggest any one that should not drive while they are drunk , its better live for tommorrow than dying.
